If you are experiencing life threatening symptoms which include suicidal intensities or other mental health challenges and cannot get in to see a therapist here is a list of resources that can help:

Nami Crisis Textline: 741741 (you can text the word HOME to this number)

If you need immediate help call 911 or go to the Emergency Department at your local hospital

Find 5 things you can see

Find 4 things you can touch

Find 3 things you can hear

Find 2 things you can smell

Find 1 thing you can taste

 

Peaceful/Safe Place image     

In your mind go to your safe/peaceful/happy place. It can real or imagined. Once you are there, look around and notice what you can see, hear, feel (what is the temperature in the environment?), smell, and taste. Spend some time in this place. This can help you calm your system down.
